As a former 1st rounder, I expect Murray to get paid this year. So I believe we can get more production for less cost in FA. Really, that should be Hortiz’s motto in building the squad this year, more production, less cost.

You are one of the main cheerleaders for dumping the next year. You want to burn it all down, almost as if you are pissed Harbaugh was hired and want to make him coach with one arm tied behind his back.

I have always said let him and his team make the decisions in a logical way that helps the team the most but you have your opinions that are personal to you for some reason and in your mind that trumps all logic or will to win. I am not ready to throw away next year, there are many posters here who have thrown away next year and the year after just on an emotional tantrum. I am also sure Harbaugh did not take this job thinking the next year or two will be throw aways, no matter how much people want it.

ill wait for Harbaugh and team to evaluate everything with a clear non emotionally damaged opinion and make the right decision. Then work his ass off to produce a winner.

Not a tantrum (at least in my case), I just don't see how it can all get fixed in one year. We need to temper our expectations with some reality. I EXPECT Harbaugh to make us (immediately) better, but I'm not expecting a deep playoff run (he's not God). Next year's ceiling is a WC berth . . . . . . . . . .at best (IMO), and I'm OK with that . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2025 however - that's where my expectations will really kick into gear. I expect us to challenge for a SB in 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, . . . . . . . . . . .

It might be that the chiefs are benefactors of the refs trying not to become the highlight of the game in the playoffs (the old "let'em play" approach). it could also be combined with coaching, telling them to clean it up just a bit in the playoffs. the penalty situation is always tough to nail down.

this reminds me of when the Pats DB's were accused of constantly rough up the colts' receivers for Manning, figuring that they would not call a penalty on every play.

Murray will get more than $1.5M imo, for sure. Drue got $4M? His physical gifts + Staley's overall clusterfxx will entice someone to take a flier if the Chargers don't.

I'd like to see him after Minter and Harbo get him coached up and run a professional defense but I don't know they'll prioritize him. He's not on my top Action List right now, they could get a different LB.

Bradley is with Indy .... they'll probably grab Murray.

Agree, I am just doing 2 things, not throwing in the towel for 2024 and expecting big changes for the better. Where ever that leads us is what it is, but not giving up.

That is exactly my point in the Myhommy thread. Chefs get every call and non call. Chefs fans are really pathetic too, in a given game there will be lets say 10 controversial calls or non calls and the Chefs will get 9/10 and their fans will bitch and cry over the 1 that did not go their way.
