As *IF* Easton Stick has earned anything better than a 'C' grade thus far in his career. Of COURSE Joe Hortiz is looking to upgrade here.

The Bolts could be better at QB2, and it's good to see them trying to make that happen.

Look at Houston...Case Keenum is their 3rd string...he is better than Stick....Atlanta...Taylor Heinike is their 3rd string...he is better than Stick

Surely this new management can come up with a dependable back up QB better than Stick, with Herbert battling injuries every season now

They're waiting for one of the other teams to release their third string QB after preseason.

It's probably true though. Atlanta won't be able to keep the likes of Heinicke so all they have to do is wait. Someone will fall in their lap.

That depends on what Harbaugh thinks. If he has any complaints, I haven't seen them.
He did mention that Stick hasn't been challenged as QB2.
My guess, Stick keeps his job this season.

They *should*. They have considerably more data points than we have.

But they can't be *THAT* happy with the QB room, or they wouldn't have made the move for Perez.

I stated elsewhere, if Perez becomes a part of the Bolts, his impact won't be felt until 2025. He's not here with the expectation of unseating Stick in 2024.

Stick's familiarity from working with Herb for... what? Four years?!?-- is something that Perez can only integrate over a period of time. He won't be (IMO) receiving more than a few snaps in 2024, if he gets any at all. This upcoming season is all about his ability-- or not-- to assimilate the Bolts' offensive system, classroom-wise.

Plus, his body isn't ready for an NFL season after just completing a spring league season, so... no reason to expect anything more than a marginal contribution from him in the NFL this fall.

Guaranteed Harbaugh isn't comfortable with the O play vs Sea. I'll be looking for changes by OC Roman..Maybe scheme a decent run game, better pass blocking. OL was not very good as a group.
