Ironically that team had 6 games where they did not score a TD. 5 of them were consecutive games.....all FGs, one game Matt Stover kicked 5 FGs and they won 15-10. The week before they won 12-0 with 4 FGs.

The other 4 games they didn't score a TD, they lost. One game was a 9-6 Loss to the Steelers.
Then they discovered their offense with Dilfer (Tony Banks was the starter prior to)and went on a run of 7 straight regular season wins and onto winning the SB.

In the flip side their defense had 4 shutouts and 1 game only allowed 3 points and three others only gave up 7 points.

i think justin fields is benefitting from a great defense right now. a QB has a nicer life when the opponent only has about 10 points.

Do you really sit around and think after 7 unnecessary roughness penalties that James doesn't need to make adjustments?

I've seen the hit and you haven't proven it wasn't a helmet to helmet hit.

I have seen plenty of DB's make tackles and most of them go low not high, that's the adjustment the league wants whether right or wrong, and if the adjustment doesn't get made this player will probably get suspended again and you'll likely think it's all a conspiracy.

And no, there is no anti James agenda here, I loved watching hard hitting safeties decades ago, the rules and the game have changed.
If Derwin was a Chief or Raider, the same people defending him would be saying the opposite.

The league put out statements they were going to penalize repeat offenders so yes, Derwin had a bullseye on him because he is in fact a repeat offender.

It’s his fault he’s in the penalty box and his responsibility to get out of it by not making tackles that are arbitrary unsportsmanlike hits because he forfeited his benefit of the doubt.

Like the Eli Manning football Giants when they won the superbowl. Herb was living that nice life the first two games

totally. Eli is going to make it into the HOF for making a few nice throws in the playoffs.

I agree he needs to improve. I rather have this than the raider players making “business decision” fiasco
