While it would be terrific if we could turn this thing around in a year, those are the kind of high - unreasonable? - expectations that will inspire a "Fire Harbaugh!" thread in Year One. Rome wasn't built in a day. And while a number of NFL have experienced a fast turnaround from one crappy year to the next, to EXPECT that is asking for trouble, IMO. If Harbaugh can come here in his first year and establish a new, sound football, winning attitude and culture, and be (mostly) competitive, that would constitute a successful season, to me at least.

Not having a fast turnaround with coach Harbaugh would be abnormal. He's not just another guy. That is what he does.
So far. Maybe the Chargering curse destroys his career. We'll see.

Not Allen. That would be a mistake and Harbaugh doesn't make those kinds of mistakes.

Agreed. Allen is one of the best route runners in the NFL, has a great relationship with Herbert and had a great 2023.
I have no doubt that he'd love to play on Harbaugh's Chargers. Enough so that he'll do whatever he can to help with the cap.

You remember Wade's track record? Every team he took over DC went to the playoffs the first season he was there. Every single one. Incuding....us. You remember how shitty we were before he was brought on board?

So I don't think it's unreasonable at all to make the playoffs next season. A rising tide lifts all boats. And the tide's coming in next season.

With a decent coaching staff we could have won the division this season. I think that's what some are forgetting.

Harbaugh can beat Denver and LV with his hands tied behind his back. I expect to compete for a wild card next year.
