This type of game is going to be the norm for Herbert under Harbaugh/Roman. Four TD passes to three receivers, without Mike Williams or Josh Palmer on the field. Also, this game highlights why they will keep Keenan Allen. Few WRs in the NFL have Allen's skills. And they are the type of skills that age well, unlike pure speed. Route running, knowing how to get open, great hands. The Chargers will win this type of game now, because the defense isn't going to give up 41 pts.

Who are those RBs going to be? I'm very interested to find out. It would be nice to have a real NFL caliber stable of RBs for a change. And that is not a knock on Ekeler. Crossing my fingers we can find a late round or even undrafted prospect and with world class training and coaching becomes a complete stud at RB.

I’m sure Trestman will be hence his assistant title. Harder to figure out with Minter Sr since that’s Jesse’s area.

Also it is slowly looking like Shaw or Scott Turner will not be part of this staff like Albright said.

The staff has a good mix of young up and comers and experience. Trestman falls under experience with 36 years of coaching, 26 in NFL.

He will be an experienced set of eyes and sounding board type and is good with Xs and Os

We don't have an RB coach yet either.
I wonder if they're waiting to match RB coach to a draftee and/ or FA, ...Or negotiating a deal with / for a specific coach?
There's little doubt that significant intention will be applied to run game improvement.

My hope is that Trestman and Minter Sr are more coaches for Harbaugh in terms of keeping things on track, doing self-scouting, maybe reporting the tough love back to Harbaugh - like you said more consultants.

I don’t see them as on the field coaches. I see them more as doing in depth study of future opponents so we are better prepared to play them. We have way too many coaches now for all these guys to be on the field.
