One can only hope that he will bring some of the overpaid underperformers with him.
Over/Under for Tom Telesco in Las Vegas

I read quotes from Antonio Pierce presser after Telesco hire. I realize he is new to all of this and dealing with the media is no fun. But he had prepared remarks. He said a lot about not knowing Telesco, being willing to work with him, that they both need to set their egos aside, that he is willing to give it a shot. Sure did not sound like he was excited, happy or felt Telesco was the best option. Maybe not starting out too well?

However, that is basically what the Raiders did with Telesco - we kicked him to the curb as GM, and then the Raiders brought him in off the street as GM.
why not get one of the assistant GM's from the Ravens, Philly, 49ers, etc., teams that seem to stack their roster with quality players. With a little bit of due diligence on Telesco, you would see names like McKitty, Spiller, JT Woods, etc. As many here have noted, his recent 1st round picks were basically gift wrapped for him - Herbert and Slater fell to right to us.
then again, it is the Raiders, so we want them to suck.

He mentioned the Raiders having an identity. -- Well lets be honest the Raiders haven't had an identity in years - that was in Oakland with Al Davis
I hope he is as successful of a GM with the Raiders as he was with the Chargers

Telesco deserved to be fired for the record of the team under his tenure, and should have been fired a few years ago. Having said that, I always have this nagging thought that some of the guys he drafted were just not used and developed correctly due to incompetent coaching. It's a moot point now but I'm not as down on him as some - but am still glad we moved on.

Pierce sounds a bit immature and I predict a lot of friction in the days/years ahead at Raider worldLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

but I doubt JoJo is getting to be a GM this process. If he is willing to stay and work one year under Harbaugh as Asst Gm to Hortiz - might be his best move
Why do you think - if Minter falls through - why I want them to hire Al Harris or the current Ravens DB coach to be the DC....

Telesco overstayed his welcome and should have been fired a long time ago. The way he operates is why the Chargers never won a division title in the 11 years he was with the organization.
