If the Bears decide they are going to stick with Fields at QB, they can trade down from the #1 pick for a fortune to go along with the 9th pick. That team could be loaded - IF they think Fields is the guy. I’m not convinced myself.

when is the last time a great tight was drafted that high?
last tight end drafted that high was what Kyle Pitts?
still hasn't done anything since and he was a athletic freak.

He took a lot of flak from fans, but he didn't cost the future team any draft position.
I know the competitor always wants to win, but I'm happy with what he was able to do and accomplish, keeping most of the games close.
He threaded a very difficult needle, and for that I salute him.

And it is a MAJOR position of need.... Chargers have not had a great TE since Gates.... a great TE helps BOTH the passing game and running game....Bowers also plays with an extreme toughness that our offense has lacked since we had LT....... some are leary of drafting TE's, and I get that.... some of the recent highly drafted TE's like Pitts are blazing fast and athletic but soft...not tough enough to dominate in NFL....
If harrison was there, I would probably choose him, because he is truely an elite generational big fast WR and we are likely losing MW and maybe KA due to money, injuries, etc.....
I do not know enough about the elite OT's, DL's and CB's to choose them over Bowers..... but i would trust the experts to do so.... for example, if Munoz were sitting there, then I would take him start him at LT and move Slater to RT and then we just need a C to keep Herbert helthy for at least 5 years....

Tony Gonzales - 13th overall - The only great tight end drafted this high.

Teams over think things and he will be 24 after the draft, has had two ACL surgerys, a dislocated shoulder and a broken clavicle. If he don't last to 10 then Daniels could or maybe they draft McCarthey. Just saying the Jets should draft a QB too.
