Tonight Kyle Hamilton intercepted a pass in his end zone and took it out to the eight-yard line. If he had downed it in the end zone Baltimore would have gotten it at the 20. Does that make Hamilton incompetent?

I would agree with him there ..... big difference between starting on your 12 vs. the 20.

Right? Hamilton is one of the best Safeties in the league, hands down. The 20/20 back seat hyper-critical carping after the fact of every split second motion and movement of players that are running full speed in real time is a bit over the top imo. Amiright or what?

Thing is when we look at players and how well they play, we go to their stats, right? In fact our own guys(Derwin/Gilman) in this thread we tossed up their stats. Batting down a pass instead of picking it off isnt a sexy stat and doesnt make you money.
Is it the smart play? Sure at the right time. Got to watch the film to determine for the truth with other players we dont see every week but looking at the stats is the easy way. JC Jackson....he was Mr. INT at NE, but how many should he have just batted down? The INTs made him the money.

Its gonna make Cowboys CB DaRon Bland the money but ive also seen him get burned a couple times for TDs in the same game he got a pick 6. Getting torched for a TD isnt a stat when you look them up.
Maybe it is on PFF but idk and dont pay for PFF.
