I'll do you one better...
his previous drops would have been catches if he mustered a bit more physicality, even body-catching them would have worked. So you'd think he would think to himself, man, I can't drop another ball.
on the last drop, it actually bounced off his leg giving him a second chance to catch it----maybe by falling on top of the ball even, no, he tries to catch it with his hands in stride.
Just a lack of head in the game, no balls, no urgency.
a big, dumb, soft wide receiver waiting for perfect passes.
I dislike everything about this mind set, especially for a young guy with so much to prove.

that last pass was perfect...hard to throw it any more perfect. ANY 5th-rd WR begs for those kind of chances to show they can catch easy stuff. That was a game-winner. If I'm Justin that dude has become the absolute last read, even after a checkdown..

Right. I was saying at the time how can you fire Lynn who finished the year 4-0 and QB rookie of year. But keep Telesco and give him a 3rd HC. It made no sense to me. I wanted them to run it back. And I wanted them to upgrade the roster.

They tried to find the magic bullet of new HC will cook up our groceries better. Well....it hasn't really happened to the level that anybody wants. So maybe you didn't need that extra cupcakes of WR and needed more beef to make a hearty meal that fill you up. Nope. Not Telesco and Jonny for them Its like those cupcakes look great, much more fun than a steak. Let's spend our pick on that, but they we're too sweet and left us still hungry. Good job TommyJohn your customers are upset and hungry. Just give us meat and potatoes and stop with this garbage sweet stuff and empty calories.

We have a UDFA with no ball skill and 7th Rd pick and 6th Rd pick from 2022 as 3 of our 4 man CBs. ASJ is the best one we got and he should be a #2 or a lot guy. This is a personnel issues. Losing a healthy Bosa is a personnel issue.

Losing Williams and Palmer are personnel issues. Not having Everett is a personnel issue.

This mess is more about front office than the coaches.
We have good personnel on special teams and it shows. Give the special teams coach credit. But we got it right with Dicker and Derius Davis. Change out those players for a kicker who gets the yips and a punt returner who doesn't have much speed. And there is only so mucbth special teams coach can do at that point. Players make plays. Today our players dropped the ball. Literally.

Agree, the front office has been horrible at drafting, hitting at around 50% in forst round and our successes were obvious BPA's like Bosa, Herbert, and Slater who anyone, even fans would have chosen those players.....but front office has failed miserably over last decade after the obvious and easy first round...... and you are right Front office has chosen the last long series of horrible cheap coaches and kept most of them after it was obvious that they were horrible.... they also refused to even interview great coaches like Reid when he was available....

And I agree... Chargers ST's are the best part of this team.... TT is not good at drafting starters, but he reaches for ST's players..... most of our LBers and DB's are just good ST's guys.....not good starters...

When teams consistently lose close games it is on the coaching....
When many players make stupid penalties, it is on coaching....
When players are consistently out of position it is on the coaching....
When players are consistently mis reading the plays, it is on the coaching....

Yes we already know. Norv took the team farther than Marty. Then personnel went down hill with draft after draft and FA signings that sucked with half assed “skill” players and neglect of the trenches.

It coincided with the ascent of the owners son, first in scouting and then head of all of the clusterfuck.
