    Yeah, pretty brutal:

I don't miss Lombardi - the offense is doing well. Yes, it can improve but through two weeks, its overall, not the problem with the team. Unless we are only talking about certain drives in the 4th quarter.

With Moore we have better OL run blocking, lousy pass pro and Herbert is the King of 3 & out.
The D hasn't been good, just good enough to give K3&O a chance to pratt fall with the W in the balance.
If we're going to win a game, it looks like D will have to defend a lead when and if we get one., no matter when.
Pitch a shut out from that point on.

Maybe Staley is just as crappy of a talent evaluator as Telesco and John Boy is

Though - you are correct - if he has the players he deems right for the system, its coaching

Granted, that doesn't absolve Tommy T of anything - his record is terrible as a GM. SAw a tweet that showed NFL records over 162 games. Chargers are under .500 and some 36 games back of the Chiefs.

If the front office acquires players the coaches want and they underperform, you gotta look at the coaches. The coaches under TT have been McCoy, Lynn and Staley. We we lose, everything should be looked at but to me it's far more about coaching than talent, especially this year.

TT should be judged by his record and it has been bad so I think both he and Staley should be replaced if we don't win at least a playoff game this year (something not looking real good).

It's a consensus, but a mis-guided one. Next year Spanos must clean house, hell sell the team to someone who is more passionate about their product. They need to move on from Bosa & Mack contracts, maybe Keenan as well and give some of that money to Eckler, the one who truly deserves it. K9 is toast, so tired of his bone headed misguided penalties and poor performances. JC Jackson was a mitigated disaster. All talented players but injury prone and cap heavy.

All hires they can pick up on the cheap.

Same thing with Brendan Staley. The guy was a first year DC, and was on no one's radar when he was hired.

And I'll bet dollars to doughnuts if pay for every HC in the NFL was released, the Chargers HC pay would be the lowest on the list.
Daboll was a first time HC but his experience level: OC with KC, Miami and Cleveland back in like 2009 - 2011 or so. Had to go back to the Patriots. Went to Alabama to be an OC and than back to the NFL with the Bills as OC. So he has been an OC, got fired, back to the Patriots as like TE or WR coach; got the chance at Alabama and the Bills, So much different than Staley. He faced adversity and coached crappy teams in Cleveland, KC and Miami.

Like this offseason - the Spannii to your point with hire the hot cheap guy. So maybe a Ben Johnson or Shane Waldron. Where as a guy like Bieniemy, first time OC, but more more experience than those two coaches. I don't trust Coordinators that only faced success. Other teams can hire them - the Spanii need to hire people that show experience

The coaching hires proves my point the Spanii do not want to win. They want to make as much money from the NFL as possible

    Me too.

The D seems to be stacked with tweeners.

Aside from Slater/KA/Herbert the O is full of good to very good but not great players.
