Dolphins at Chargers Pre Game Discussion

Ok. So I’m suffering from irrational exuberance here, but I’m feeling like we have this. We’re at home, we’re healthy, we’re rested, we have new, unseen offensive schemes, we have an offensive line to be proud of, and we have Herbatron.

So bring the positive energy and let’s start this season right.

    Go Bolts.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    The Wasted Decade is done.

Let's start by correcting the thread title typo ('too' instead of 'to').

Too much irrational exuberance on this end.

I have the feeling that chubby lil Tua is going to be in the fetal position a few times because of Bosa or Mack or both.

Hopefully, it's a Tua Tuna Melt Sandwiched by McBosa with a side of Tuli and Rumph...

I had a fantasy draft at a sports bar on Saturday. Went to the bathroom and a Dolphin fan said he can't wait for the Phins to crush the Chargers in week one and he is glad that took Tua over Herbert and said Herbert was a choke artist yada yada yada. Told him china doll tua won't make it past week four and he said the Phins own the Chargers. Since I am much mellow now I just wished him luck and went on merry way. Phin fans are so freaking delusional.

Miami's DC Renaldo Hill had a big hand in the building of the Dolphins' advance scouting book on Justin Herbert and his perceived weaknesses. Herbert throws really well off-platform to his right, struggles a bit more when flushed to his left and has to buy time with his legs in-order to flip his hips and deliver the ball downfield. His passes can be deflected at the line. Is a threat with his legs.

What is your book on Herbert's perceived weaknesses? The Book on Tua? Easy. Durability and height.

arm strength as shown last season. Tua cannot hit the our routes on the sideline before the CB jumps the throw.

I'm not sure he has any. He's working with a new OC, QB coach, trainers and assistants to correct some issues he showed last year.
We can be sure he's not perfect and will have some plays where he could have made a better choice but I'll have to see it to believe he has a persistent weakness in 2023.
