I like it. Decent performance, always available and plays hurt. Great team guy.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Ideally, I would rather have him as a swing OT, then a starter. He has the physical tools to play both OT spots. He just doesn't finish well enough to be a great player. But we have so many holes to fill, it would be hard to see him as anything but a starter.

Hes probably getting paid like a starter. I would also prefer he be the swing tackle. And its not out of the realm of possibility if Tunsil falls to us. But i wouldn't be surprised if the numbers for Barksdale seem high. High enough that he might seem like a really expensive swing tackle if we had a player starting ahead of him.

Im just hoping that his close to 3 months without a contract last year forced him to panic early and want to get back in with SD before they moved on and his price was reasonable. 4 years 12 million with 7 guaranteed would be a nice deal for us. But im sort of expecting much bigger numbers.

              I hope im wrong.

I also wouldn't count out Stanley at 3. Dunlap gets paid big money in 2017/18. If we draft Tunsil or Stanley this could be Dunlaps last year. With his injury concerns and the fact hes at 8M for each of 17/18 Barksdale may end up being viewed as the RT of the future and Dunlaps replacement for next year gets drafted this year in Tunsil or Stanley.

I'm ok with this signing provided it's not huge money. He's an adequate starter, not great by any means, but he can get the job done. IMO our biggest issue was at center and that really destroyed the integrity of the entire line. Fix the C position and I think that will solidify the entire line.

I'm sure we overplayed slightly, but I'm happy we brought him back. He may not be the most talented guy on our OL but he is the healthiest, and after the last 2 years we need someone on the line that can actually physically play consistently.

LG was a huge problem too.

"Plays hurt", "Healthiest" ... the dude is a warrior and I guess you need to sign him because it'll be hard to find 3-4 starter level OL in one offseason. I wonder how much better he looks if the team signs a real OC this offseason?
                      Prediction:
                      Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.
