Why would they not want a team in SoCal?

If I recall, the issue was that SDSU isn't at the level of a 'research' university that the Pac-12 wants, even though it is as competitive academically to the UC System...nothing to do with athletics. But yeah, UCLA and USC being gone may force a change in that exclusivity.

I would throw a bullshit flag if that’s true. UCSD would put any of those pac12 schools to shame if they compared “research” credentials. It’s always been about the money and the PAC is afraid of their little brother down the coast.

Ugly ugly game which is how SDSU seems to want it. They are really a poor shooting team. Credit to that defense for getting them this far.
