At this time last year we had brought in several players to bolster the roster. We were praised everywhere you read, saying this team is "loaded".
So here we are with our new year, we still have those free agents and from last year and we can see that some of the rookies from last year are legitimate players but no one is praising this year's team. Instead, they give us a low grade for this year's draft saying we haven't been much of a participant in the free agent market, so we are downgraded.

Hang in there Bolt fans, this team really is loaded and I really believe they will be one of the best teams in the league.
    THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

We should get the Inj players back, replaced Tranq with Kendricks, added Tuli, Henley and Matlock.
No he didn't play his way off the team. It was him having an ego and not accepting the role Staley had for him that got him kicked out. Tillery wasn't as bad as his haters make him out to be. When he was cut, the team didn't have any pass rusher on the interior other than Fox. Which is a weakness that keeps killing the defense. Pass rush on the inside is something this team needs more of. Hopefully the team has more of it after drafting Matlock and if OO develops.

I’m all for the safeties to battle it out. Gilman, Woods, Webb, Layne and the UDFA AJ Finley. Who I think has a decent shot at making the team. 6’2 200 lbs and ran a 4.47 at his pro day with 8 ints in his college career.

Conspiracy theorists claim Duggan was drafted to replace Herbert. Read it for yourself.

That could be the single stupidest thing I have ever read. What an idiot. (not you Velo, the conspiracy nut).

Yeah that's beyond stupid. It's his non-throwing shoulder anyway. My only concern is if he's gonna have enough time to get his strength and size back in his upper body in time for training camp. He sure did look awful thin in that pic I saw of him at workouts a couple weeks back.

Tillery was lousy at playing the run and shedding run blockers. Any time they came after him, he was blown out of the play. He wanted to be a specialist at pass rush, something he wasn't good at and the job called for both. Exit Tillery. Fox is an upgrade.
Tillery avg 2 sacks per year. Fox had 6.5 sacks last year.

Tillery sucked. Just no way to spin that.

                    Bingo

Fox had 6.5 sacks, while losing a ton of snaps to Tillery before we finally cut him...no wonder he was a FA priority...I wonder what his sack/snap ratio was? Bet it is well above league average. Don't sleep on Foxy, folks...he is the real deal...and with the drafting of Tuli, and Mack and Bosa hopefully making most of their starts, we should have a much improved 3rd down defense...all comes down to avoiding big time injuries...sigh...
                    Adopted Bolt: Scott Matlock

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

End of the season - two things will define the Chargers

                      1) fewer plays on offense on third down - the chargers I think in the top 3, if not number 1, in third down plays. Too many drives with too many third downs. Get more explosive, score more TDs

                      2) more stops on third down defense - defense just needs to get the hell off the field

Speaking as someone whose had both shoulders replaced in the past 14 months, getting after it in the gym is a very slow and uphill climb.
It'll take JH awhile to get back bulk and strength.
