I was at a gym and they happened to be replaying the Jacksonville playoff game.
End of the 1rst half and Staley asked Bandy, the kick returner, to run out to the 15 yard line and take a knee.

Some coaches take their foot off the pedal, Staley set the parking brakes on and then tried kicking the car into reverse.

No, I've lived through being a Charger fan for too long. If something can go wrong it usually does. I have many Charger memories
to repress.

Exactly and I've lived through that as well but here we are. Still hoping for the best.

Ray of hope. New OC. Getting some DL guys back. The team doesn't suffer all the injuries. The draft.

On the other hand, much tougher schedule. PO not such an assured thing. .

There's always hope, and NFL teams transition from bad to good quicker than any other sport. The frustrating part about being a fan of this team is that they're so often close to being dominant, they just haven't been able to get over the hump . . . . . maybe next year is their year? It could happen . . . .

it is going to be in the back of their minds for sure. will be interesting to see how they process it. could either be something where they drill down knowing no lead is safe or anytime something goes wrong they could be saying here we go again

This is the time of year I get very specific about personnel study. Assessing our existing personnel is a large part of that.

The prevailing narrative about how and why we lost to JAGS in AFCWCG is off kilter in my view. Our defense is close !

Vato's injury left us unable to match up well in the middle of the field. Bosa's reinjury exposed our lack of depth at pass rush.

Why do we need to go over this again, friends ?

IMO the defense is possibly, maybe, best case, close to average. But you're right - it is time to move on. Let's hope that our marginal guys from last year get better (Woods, Murray), we catch lightening in a bottle in the draft, our pass rush returns, the offense averages 50 points per game, and the D stays healthy . . . . . . it's not too much to ask is it??

Oh, I can take it as well as give it out. Fact is, no one has shown me any "proof" (beyond the Pollyanna Bible) that the team is significantly improved over the squad that 'vaulted' to that impressive 10-7 finish last season. I suppose I should be flattered that many are taking the time to respond at all. Must be hitting the proverbial nerve.
