I think Herb is still getting used to his speed. He will get in sync with him before the season starts.

Throwing to fast targets is hard. Some assume that because speed is an asset for a WR, then it must make it easier for a QB to hit a target that can seperate with speed but I don't think that's right.
sounds pretty obvious but it takes a lot of "between the ear" talent at QB to calculate the throw it takes to hit these fast targets and thatbtakes practice if you haven't had that.
Herbert's WRs in Oregon were slow and not good in general before he got to throw to speedsters Guyton and Tbilly.

I don't see many NFL QBs making it work with 1 trick speed demons like those 2.

Signing Wright makes me feel that there is a bigger problem with Guyton's rehab than is being disclosed. We have a lot of potential #6 WRs already on the squad.

It's possible. It's also possible they don't want to be in a situation like they found themselves in last season with three WRs out with injury and having to have Bandy start games. Moore seems to really value the WR position and wants to stack it with as much depth as possible.
