Ha! Not surprised, every team is figuring it out. With parity, you just don’t want to lose a game to ST points.

its almost like Telesco was like "hey JK Scott wasn't bad so lets bring him back as that is easier than trying to see if I can upgrade him and it might not work"

I still do not see why another punter, and there is a pretty good free agent possibly out there - isn't signed for camp. You have competition at other positions

JK Scott was good for the team last year.

Just competition -- he wasn't that good to not have competition

And now that Araiza is a free agent, if the NFL will allow him - I hope they are calling him

Because they believe in the player. How many 4th round picks turn into impact players? Very few. If they feel a certain player will make an impact, why not draft him early to ensure that you get him?

I suspect they see more than just a returner.

IMO, there are only three things we can surmise for certain:

(1) Davis was clearly their top return specialist prospect

(2) They believed that it was likely Davis would be off the board by the time their 5th round pick was on the clock.

(3) They believe that Davis' capacity to make a contribution on OFFENSE bumps his grade.

Who knows why this works out anyways...He may be an impact for the few plays he's called upon in any given game and we didn't have to burn a second rounder on a speedy guy receiver. Why do I get the feeling that Moore will use him in ways that we can't even imagine yet.
