People do tend to talk around here like we were 4-13 or something. we were NOT the 12-5 or better team SB contending team that many of us hoped / predicted before the season. But we were not a sub-.500 piece of shit team, regardless of what TPB members write …

Sometimes I argue as if I’m sticking up for the team just … because. We were not a bad team. Just not a champ. Need to get better but not a complete overhaul. They need to figure out how to get out of cap trouble without dismantling if possible,

To me its not dismantling - its take the approach to get more players and depth on the roster. Trading Bosa (if there is a market) and possibly releasing/trading Allen to create both short term and long term success.

Now if Allen takes a pay cut -- that is one thing. But if its between keeping Allen at his current salary or releasing Allen and getting back 14.8m of cap space to sign Pipkins, Tranq, Fox and maybe one other player - I know the decision I am making. I would rather have better depth at those three or four positions than Allen at WR with lesser players at RT, LB and DT

With Ekeler, Kelley and Spiller - and the way the RB position is valued in the NFL - I do think the Chargers have bigger needs.

If Bijan is there at 21 - that is where Telesco might need to use other teams wanting to get him and trade back
