    The Seahawks through six games:

Defensively are 30th in total yds given up per game - 411 (Bolts:18th/350)
Are 31st in run defense, 166 yds per game (Bolts: 23rd/125)
Are 22nd in pass defense, 245 yds per game (Bolts: 18th/225)
Are 31st in pts per game given up, 27.2 (Bolts: 26th/25.3)

Offensively are 12th in yds per game gained - 256 (Bolts: 7th/375)
Are 11th in rush offense, 124 yds per game (Bolts: 25th/95)
Are 14th in pass offense, 232 yds per game (Bolts: 3rd/280)
Are 9th in pts scored, 24.3 per game (Bolts: 13th/23.5)

The 'Hawks are a weak defensive team, particularly giving up yards on the ground. It will be a good game for Spiller to get his first NFL carries; hopefully Linsley plays this game.

Here are highlights from their Week 5 game in New Orleans, which the Saints won 39-32.

The very idea that Lombardi is somehow holding Herbert back flies in the face of reality. It begs one to believe the Drew Brees was a super Uber QB that was able to overcome Lombardi's offence and play calling during his time in NO. That was not the case.
      Go Rivers!

Was Lombo the OC in NO?

          Uh-oh.
Per Staley, Spiller will battle it out with Rountree for the Active spot while Kelley heals his MCL.
          Not jesting.
Maybe we do play modern football.

He wasn't OC, that was Pete Carmichael. He was QB coach for all of his years in NO. He was only an OC with the Lions for 1 season after he left NO.

You are right he was the QB coach. Former Saints QBs Coach: Lombardi has spent the past five seasons with the New Orleans Saints as the team's quarterbacks coach. He had multiple stints in New Orleans where he coached Drew Brees for 12 of Brees' 15 NFL seasons. He served as the Saints offensive assistant from 2007-08, their quarterbacks coach from 2009-13, and then returned in that capacity from 2016-20. Still his offence as the Chargers HC has not been top ten so far in passing yards TDs points, what metrick of his offence has been in the bottom third of the league?

If Spiller can't beat out Roundtree, he doesn't deserve to be active...

                    All about ST SMH.
                    Spiller very athletic.
Thing is, we need RB juice,
                    but Coach is emphasizing ST.
                    We'll get there brah.

Herb's injury & Lombo are def factors, and.... biggest factor is: our wideouts are not getting separation.

That's for sure. I can't imagine that Spiller can't do better than 1.9 average YPC in a game for the life of me though. Wondering if they just don't trust him in pass protection, so that's why they're holding him out.

Wasted draft pick if that's how Staley is assessing it.
