Penalties have to be cleaned up-- I'm talking to *you*, Zion.
It's also fairly epic that Dustin Hopkins gutted it out with the quad injury, hitting on all four FG attempts. The stage was set for the Chargers to lose this game because Hopkins was hobbled, but he came through in a big way.
Held Denver to 3 points after the turnover at about the Charger 30. That was enormous.
Pushing the blocker back into the punt returner to force the muff? Great special teams contribution.
We've moaned about several OT losses at the hands of the Chiefs, Raiders and Cowboys. I'm going to celebrate this OT win.

Getting Keenan Allen back will be huge though. Not just have to worry about Linsley

Well we didnt Charger it away!!
One more win and we get to the bye to regroup and get healthier.
But some work to be done.
Offense has become easy to defend. You cant have a QB like Justin Herbert avering 4.2 yards a pass attempt.
The team is dealing some adversity and that is good, and can improve as it gets healthier...but...Telesco nees to be active before deadline Nov 1 and suppliment this roster for the hard part of the schedule.
Some speed on offence !!!!

As for the game, I'm concerned Herbert suffered a setback and got reinjured on a sack. Lombardi had routes downfield but Herbert chose to throw short. Many of his passes were also wobbly. Not the way he throws the football.
On the pass before the hail Mary he had Everett open on a deep corner route and Parham on a shorter out covered by a LB and chose to throw to Horvath in the flat who had no chance for a 1st down.

Did they say on TV what Kelley’s injury was? I just saw him go in the tent and stretch it out on the sidelines.
give Spiller a chance. Sony ran hard but he just can’t hit the hole quick enough and can’t make anyone miss.

I don't think Herbert felt he could make those throws accurately and without pain.
