Bump.
You take away the pick-6... and insert a referee that can differentiate a defensive pass interference from an offensive pass interference... and we have a defense that held one of the best offenses in the NFL to 13 points.
ASJ has elevated his play. He may not have secured that interception, but he was in great position. His understanding of the defensive assignments and his reaction/playing speed has improved. Bryce Callahan's play has largely gone unnoticed. JC is truly a #1 CB. Our Travis Kelce problem was largely solved (at least for 1 game).
Barring injuries, this defense should fear no one. The addition of Mack was brilliant... he does everything. And my boys SJD and AJ have transformed a defensive line. Even the LB's playing well.OLineCentric

SJD and AJ make life a lot easier for the LB. When LB have to take on blockers, it is really hard for them to get to the ball. Even their coverage suffers as they are always trying to get a jump on running plays. But when the DL takes on blockers, forcing the double teams to work hard/longer and delaying the release to the LB, it makes everyone's job easier, including the DB, who also find it easier to run to the ball if they don't have to run around blockers.

But no one is going to trade for a guy like that, but they would need a sportscenter moment at this point to justify it. If they were going to throw a conditional 7th at us, it would have been in the offseason or even early TC. Not now. Now they will play wait and see, and try and get something for nothing.
Someone may try and trade for him, but Tillery is going to have to do his share first, and not only would he have to play better (taking on blocks, playing his assignments and keep the LB clean), but at this point he would have to actually make a few plays. At this point, he is still worth more to us than to almost any other team, which is to say not that much.
By the way, we are a team with little or no depth on the DL, so we would fall into that category. People can debate Tillery, Covington vs Fedhko or Nwosu or whatever, but none of those guys is a quality player. We have Bosa, Mack, SJD and AJ, with Fox as a decent situational guy. After that Otito had some nice power moves vs KC, taking on blocks (jury is still out), Rumph had a nice PS. The rest of our guys are just guys. Pick any other 34 team, take the same depth guys they have, switch them with ours, and you would get about the same results. If anything happens to our starters, we're screwed.

Considering the worst " tackleing" on the field was by JH on his pick 6, I'd say with the D allowing 20 or less , against divisional opponents, in games 1 & 2, looks so far, so good.
They'll improve as the season progresses. Remember, this is a lot of new bodies. Only 8 quarters of tackle football played together. They'll gel and become better as a whole.
Thumbs up from me.

I always like watching the defense ever since we landed James. It’s not always been good. But this years defense is stacked. Our secondary can be the best with Jackson back. Samuels playing very well and Callahan is a true slot corner. Davis can be butt hurt or work his ass off to get in there more. Nas and James are my favorite duo. Yes I love Mack n Bosa too.

I really like the Defense it is very solid, if not outstanding this year if they stay healthy........if it weren't for Samuel's 2 dropped interceptions, aNnd the refs bad PI call, Bolts could have had 3 interceptions again and another victory......and Mahommes would have effectively had a nidhtmare of a game.....we were that close to making KC offense look pretty mediocre.
