When I was a HS kid, I loved playing in the snow. Everybody was slipping and sliding - fair for one, fair for all. In my Junior year we played the annual Thanksgiving day game on a field of ice. That was terrible. We won 6-0 and the TD was scored on a fumble recovery of the opening kick-off. It was just about impossible to stand up. Our cleats didn't help at all. During half-time the coach had us put on our own tennis shoes. They didn't help either. I played LB and I don't think I got blocked all day, the OL couldn't get any traction. The only tackles I made were when the RB ran right at me because I couldn't run and they couldn't cut. More often than not the RB simply slipped and fell.
