Post Your 53 Man Roster Prediction Or Desires

NOTE: this is not what I would want them to do, this just what I think they are going to do…

    Special teams
    K 6
    LS 47
    P 16

    Offense
    QB
10, 4, 2——telesco confirming all three return way before final cuts is troubling…
    RB
30, 28, 25, 34——I based this on last year and with spiller nursing an ankle roundtree survives
    FB
    45——nabers is out
    TE
    7, 89, 88, 87——kampmoyer survives because parham and mckitty are nursing injuries…
    WR
    13, 81, 5, 15, 82, 83——I pray the chargers don’t want a repeat of wes welker
    OT
70, 79, 73——norton and bailey to the PS, I’m 99% sure NO ONE will claim them
    G
    71,77, 68——jaimes and hunter to the PS, I’m 99%…..
    C
63, 76——with weaver on IR maybe hunt makes the PS

    Defense
    EDGE
    97,52, 94, 44——egbule gets cut over davis
    DL
98, 69, 93, 56, 99——I know, it’s infuriating but they keep tillery over fehoko and gaziano
    LB
    8,9, 42, 49, 31——amen is out
    S
    3, 24, 22, 32, 29——layne is out
    CB
    27, 43, 26, 23, 36——campbell and leonard miss the cut

well, there it is and I’m not happy about it, you keep stick, roundtree, and kampmoyer and lose the ability to keep fehoko, leonard or campbell, and a ninth OL….but at least bandy makes the team in this scenario…

      QB (3)- Herbert, Stick, Daniels
      RB (3)- Ekeler, Spiller, Kelley
      FB (1)- Horvath
TE (4)- Everett, Parham, McKitty, Kampmoyer
OL (9)- Slater, Feiler, Linsley, Zion, Pipkins, Storm, Salyer, Clapp, Jaimes
WR (6)- Keenan, MWill, Palmer, Guyton, Carter, Bandy
IDL (6)- SJD, Johnson, Fox, Ogbonnia, Fehoko, Tillery
EDGE (4)- Bosa, Mack, Rumph, Van Noy
LB (4)- Murray, Tranquill, Reeder, Niemann
CB (6)- JC, Callahan, ASJ, Davis, Taylor, Campbell
S (4)- Derwin, Adderley, Woods, Gilman
      ST (3)- Harris, Scott, Hopkins

PS- Webb, Sarrell, Amen, Leonard, Rountree, Kemon Hall, Gaziano, Hunter, Jamal Davis, Moore, McCourt

Of course we would all love to drop the 3rd QB for someone that can actually contribute to the roster but that’s not going to happen unfortunately. The last spot for me came down to Webb vs Kampmoyer but the injuries in the TE room won out for me and Gilman made it over Webb with his ability to be available. I think with Murray coming back to practice this week and Van Noy’s versatility we can get by with 4 LB letting us carry a 6th IDL. Bandy has earned a role on this team so I just couldn’t leave him out. Leonard is the only draft pick I have not making the roster, I honestly like him a lot as a prospect but he is too raw in coverage and showed he is too much of a liability on ST to justify making the final 53. I think Gaziano has earned a spot over Tillery but this team hasn’t shown me it can walk away from its 1st round mistakes when it should yet. We are going to be letting go of some players that could contribute this year, I think that says a lot about what Staley and his staff have been able to do in 18 months.

Keeping 3 QB’s is bullshit. If 2 go down, pick some stiff off the street and play for draft picks.

That’s a good one! I like what you did with edge/linebacker and that’s probably going to happen, I don’t know why but something tells me sarrell makes the cut…

agree, especially when none of our backup QB's are special..... no one is going to offer a draft pick for either of them, ......

It would be different if we had a 14 year vet as a starter and a young Brees or Rivers or Herbert on the bench.....

there is literally no upside to keeping easton, I don’t understand it at all…and I get what people are saying that the season is lost if herbert goes down irregardless but that doesn’t change the fact that having an inactive QB every game keeps a roster spot away from someone else that could rotate at positions where attrition is most likely to happen like OL or DL etc…

Be nice not to have a street signing start most of the year…

I worry that they will keep 5 LB with Murray’s injury history but to me you can’t allocate that many spots to a position you say is the least important on the roster. Niemann is the ST ace so he makes it for that reason but I’m gonna be pretty pissed if they keep 5 LB at the expense of 5 IDL or cutting Bandy. I don’t see anyone taking Amen off our PS so just stash him there.

I'm thinking Tillery and Rountree are (mildly) surprising cuts.
