You'll have to replace about all but 2 or 3 players next year then. Have fun with that!

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Outside of Rivers, its not like that Chargers have a history of keeping the faces of the franchise around.

Dunlop, Watt, Jones, Butler, Addai, D Brown, Lissimore are my move on candidates.

Floyd, Weddle and probably Gates will also be holes to fill.

Flowers is just the board whipping boy right now. Te'o as mentioned is cheap and better than Butler at least. Franklin gets a mulligan.

You make that sound like a bad thing.

How far away is this team, realistically, from being a contender again? I'm not sure but I don't think Rivers has enough years in him to see it.

This thing needs to be torn down.

In fact, it would be a MUCH shorter thread if you listed the players the Chargers should NOT 'move on from'.

If I were going to make a list of REAL 'keepers' - given talent, performance, potential, and/or contract situation - here'd be my list:

            Rivers
            Verrett
            Gordon
            Woodhead
            Attaochu
            Perryman
            Dunlap
            Franklin
            KA
            LGreen
            Lambo
            Fluker
            Scifries

And only Rivers, KA, and Verrett, IMO, would be considered 'untouchable'.

I agree with this list, but two names on the list that bear watching are Dunlap an Green this strictly has to do with the number of concussions they have had over last season and this season.

Better than Butler is not saying much. Only that he knows where to line up and gives an honest effort.

Where Butler is 5 steps behind every play, Te'o seems to be only 1 step behind or even closer at times then he just muffs the tackle. I'd like to see him paired with a genuine 3-4 MLB'er and see how he does before we dump him. I think he could be a good 'other guy' he just won't ever be 'the guy'.

I don't get the Franklin hatred. He's been injured most of the season.

Franklin wasn't playing well before he got injured though.

I like him better on the bench...

I think we are all tired of expensive FA's constantly getting injured. Hate comes easy at 2-6...
