Like I said Palmer will get the 3 this year. The thing is that perplexed me was his physique. Not a lot of muscle mass or definition for a wr. Get that kid in the weight room and put him on serious conditioning programs. He needs to be in the best shape of his life.

        That’s a pretty low bar…

I don't recall him having soft hands but, I do remember that he could sure make a tackle. We could use some better tackling like that.

Actually, he had the worst hands I've ever seen on a human. I doubt he could button up a shirt with those hands.

LAC was #6 at team YAC last year.

Skewed due to poor running game. Also how many passes?

A lot from Ekeler at 5th in the league with 625. Williams had 415, Allen 337. On a per target and % of total yards basis those are both average to low. We threw the ball a lot.

YAC is sort of a meaningless stat. What matters is total yardage. If receiving corps on team A has 5,000 yards in receptions in a season, but only average YAC, and a receiving corps on team B leads the league in YAC but only has 4,500 yards in receptions, I'll take the average YAC on Team A that had 500 yards more total receiving yardage.

The thing the Chargers need to do this year is do a better job of attacking defenses all over the field.

If we are running the ball left and right and up the middle, it spreads the D out along the line.

If we can throw long and throw short, they have to defend both, and there are not enough DB to do that.

It just means every player on the offense needs to do their part. Herbert is going to have to continue to develop as a passer and as a reader of defenses, so he can put the ball in the right players hands for the way the D is playing us. We have the weapons, and Herbert is pretty good at distributing the ball to the right guy.

Palmer and Guyton for # 3 and 4 spot at WR
                        D. Carter at #5, it's not a troublesome situation.
