This thread is about someone on the special teams side of the ball, not the defense. Things are all over the place when users aren't talking about a subject in their appropriate place.
We did good with Hopkins and Roberts, but we might not have one or both of them after this season.
Special teams isn't just the return game and the kicking game. There's the other parts of the phase; the coverage unit and blocking the opponents FG or XP attempt. I want to see the team do better in blocking the opponent's kick.

We’ve had several ST coaches during Telesco’s tenure and the team always sucks
it’s the players Telesco gets. Just like Staley went from coaching the #1 defense to one of the worst the following year.
coaches always get blamed for the team coming up short when it’s clear the GM sucks in building a complete roster.
John Spanos at least equally shares the blame if not more!
