I thought they would use the third round pick on an RB. I felt it was the biggest priority at that point. But they drafted JT Woods and left Dameon Pierce on the board, whom the Texans drafted with the 2nd pick in the 4th round. He had 4.6 ypc against Denver on Sunday.
He looks really good. I thought Kenneth Walker would be a good compliment to Ek but he went much earlier and not sure what he's doing as a pro.

I felt RB was a pretty big priority and was really expecting them to draft one with their lone 2nd day pick. The JT Woods pick baffled me. Then they drafted Spiller in the next round, and everybody was excited. Spiller supposedly had a borderline low 1st round grade at some point (knocked down by a disappointing 40 time). He didn't get much playing time in the preseason and he left the 2nd game with an ankle injury and has pretty much disappeared since.

I have no idea what we have in Spiller. As with all draft picks, us fans get too excited about how good they'll be but in reality, until we see them play in real games we have no clue. It will be interesting to see if he gets any meaningful snaps this year or if they go with what we did the first two. People are down on MIchel but he was an integral fill in for the Rams to win a ring so I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

The positive with Sony is he knows how to deal with contact. The problem with rookies sometime they try too hard that leads to fumble. I like the Texans rookie runner though, Pierce. That guy runs hard and punishes defenders.

I haven’t watched any Texans football yet but if I do, I’ll keep an eye out for him. Thanks!

He was a 4th round pick. Hardly call that a waste.
Not all rookies get playing time right away and Kelly (also a 4th) is finally looking decent. He will get his time when he is ready.

Maybe now we know why the Fins cut Sony loose...good thing they're still paying for his salary...

Is his ankle healed? Is he practicing again?

Herbs passing is all the gadget plays you need.
