I thought so too. Glad I was wrong. I still like how Bandy gets open. Even if it was only PS.

Bandy is open on practice squad so another team can poach.

I think he will be one of the guys they 'protect' from poaching, something that has been in place for the last year or so. Practice squad players are technically free agents, so if he can get a better deal on a different PS, so be it. I would think there would be some compensation involved if a protected player is claimed.

If only we could be like the Raiders and release our 1st round pick from last year for another team to claim!

Teams can elevate a player three times in the regular season before signing them to the 53-man roster. Previously, a team could only elevate a player twice throughout the regular season or postseason. Teams are allowed to protect four practice players per week from being signed by rival teams.

no compensation, you can protect 4 PS players starting Tuesday every game week, but from sunday night until the Tuesday deadline (36hrs?)they can all be poached. That’s how we lost brandon fayson to the raiders last year…I think bradley has him penciled in as a starter in indy now, not sure…

I'll admit I was in the 'keep Bandy - he'll never get thru waivers' crowd. I'm very happy he made it to the PS, along with Sarell. Exchanging Sony Michelle for Rountree makes me very happy as well. If we could ditch a QB and pick up another edge it would be perfection.

Very surprised by Nabors, unless someone else signed him...knows the system, blocks well, reportedly good teammate....figured we would want a backup FB on the PS...wonder if he and Staley didnt part ways very well? Ugly exit interview?
