Everybody knows Herbert can hit the deep throws, so when Washington's defense took those routes away with double coverage, he raked them with all sorts of intermediate throws. He can do pretty much whatever he's asked to do.

Rountree needs to work on his pass catching. I think he had two drops yeaterday. Maybe its just the nerves.

Chargers PFF grades: Best, worst performers in Week 3 win over Chiefs

              Gavino Borquez

              September 27, 2021 6:50 am PT

In the Week 3 of the 2021 regular season, the Chargers took care of business on the road against the Chiefs.
I chose five players that I felt made a huge impact on the game, but there were a handful of other top performers.

With that being said, here are the best and worst performers from Sunday’s contest, according to Pro Football Focus’ player grades.
              Top 5 Offense

              WR Mike Williams — 86.4
              QB Justin Herbert — 85.6
              OL Corey Linsley — 83.1
              WR Keenan Allen — 78.8
              OL Matt Feiler — 77.7
              Top 5 Defense

              EDGE Joey Bosa — 79.2
              CB Tevaughn Campbell — 77.1
              DB Alohi Gilman — 75.8
CB Asante Samuel Jr. — 68.4
              LB Drue Tranquill — 67.8
              Bottom 5 Offense

              TE Stephen Anderson — 52.6
              WR Jalen Guyton — 51.4
              TE Jared Cook — 47.9
              OT Trey Pipkins — 41.7
RB Larry Rountree III — 29.8
              Bottom 5 Defense

              DT Christian Covington — 45.8
              CB Michael Davis — 45.6
              DB Mark Webb — 45.3
              EDGE Uchenna Nwosu — 38.5
              LB Kyzir White — 28.8

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

How could Shofield be worse than Pipkins? I don't know who our backup OT was yesterday, but I hope it was Shofield. And that's a sad statement.

He needs to get used the Herbert 98mph gas. Williams dropped a couple heaters on slants as well. Shits comin hot.

I agree. Even KA sometimes have a hard time catching some of them.

Our defense found a pass rush yesterday, especially in the second half! Here's hoping they can keep that up. Now, let's find a way to do a good job against the run.

Everyone is praising Staley for the fourth and 9 call to go for it but if they had failed on that attempt, we'd be sreaming for his blood - that's what fans do.

We did put on a lot of pressure, but that is a pretty mediocre offensive line we played.

I'd rather go for a win and sometimes fail at it than turtle up and play not to lose, getting our hearts ripped out by aggressive teams.

According to Bosa James dislocated his shoulder yesterday "but just popped it back in"
