So needless to say, I disagree with your take. True about the additions but Staley has made big huevos decisions that Lynn huevos wouldn't try to cash.
The only exception to this is the time Lynn DID go for two points to beat the Chefs in Arrowhead that one time...but yes, generally agree that Lynn was WAY too conservative most of the time...

      It’s a passing league.

only partly true...... running is real basic...... if you cant stop the run, its usually because you take bad angles and dont tackle well...... Even though the Chargers cannot run worth a crap, we tried desperately to do it because the Chiefs were so bad defending the run...... Chiefs proved they could stuff the Chargers run and the short passes..... Chiefs were not at running but they put alot of effort into it and were very successful.......

When you cannot stop the run , Every team will at least try to run on you....its the safest approach to win games..... we will also see alot of short passes/screens because we take bad angles and dome tackle well....

The bad angle thing is legit. Our guys weren't where they were supposed to be. My guess is they were getting manhandled and shoved out of their gaps?

If you want to stop the run, you put 8 in the box. The Bolts don’t do that, they almost always play 2 deep safeties. They give up the run to stop the deep pass. We’ll see if that changes against a primarily running team.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Reverse our pass D stats and our rush D stats, and we lose all three games so far with more sure losses on the horizon. Do we need to do better? Sure, at a lot of things, but I honestly did not expect this team to be 2-1 at this point (really 3-0 without the effing refs gunning against us). And as many have pointed out, these players are learning/buying in to what Staley is selling, every game.

Kinda not sure how to react to all this positivity in Chargerland.

1st Light up the scoreboard. We're allowing 20 ppg. Score more than that and allow 17 or less on avg. The need to score will limit runs against.

                      Limit penalties.
Worry about R ypc allowed. We do need to get better but not at the expense of pass / scoring D.
LB tackling has been iffy. Too many yards after contact .

We beat one of last year’s SB teams at their place after they lost their previous game. This was not a trap game for them, we took it.

This is where game awareness comes in. In the McCree case, he picked the rock, then, got stripped! Now, having said that, generally speaking, if a DB gets a pick, and has plenty of turf ahead of him, or pick-6 turf, and no defenders close by, go for it...but make sure u secure that rock!
