Lucky for them. I must say, I've always liked the Amish Riffle. He was at the 7th spot on my Top 100 All Amish Team.

When he says to the "new rules," what is he referring to in context of the OL?

The impressive thing is, IMO, that all four are starters. None of them are busts. That doesn't happen every often.

Unfortunately for WFT, Dwayne Haskins, their 1st pick in 2019, didn't work out. If they had been able to draft a franchise QB with that pick, they'd be SB contenders probably. But of the top four QBs drafted in 2019, only Kyler Murray, the 1st overall pick, is worth anything. The other three are Daniel Jones, Haskins and Drew Lock at #42. The 8th QB picked in the draft was Easton Stick.

Kinda like Dallas’ O Line a few years ago. Every once in a while a team will put together a truly dominating line. And Dallas was excellent behind that line. And WFT may be this year too.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I agree that trenches are very important to the outcome of this game however I see coaching factor more important.
I have a ton of reapect for RR and wanted him to coach Chargers in the past.
BS was my choice from candidates this year, I pray that he turns out great and we will not stuck with another BS coach like Lynn.

As I see better talent overall on Chargers our OL is still a project and this game will be win or lose in prep room, game plan and game time decision by coaches.
Staley is an established hot success as a D coach, HC remains to be seen but I like his approach, his staff, the QB and receivers on O. We'll see.
Total respect to WFT DL. BUT, I don't think LAC's front 7 will be easier for Wash. Never mind DJ & the secondary. Our D will impose their will.

No blocking below the knees. Aboushi got flagged for a cut block down field.

Not as impressive draft status. They'll have to play with a chip on their shoulders.

Lots of talk about our OL. This is not last years OL. And saying we are in for a long day might be accurate...but not one of us has seen them play together yet. lol So how is anyone able to speak about them factually? Slater and Linsley are really nice additions. If Bulaga is healthy that helps. We have 2 new OGs. Nobody should be claiming anything about this OL until we see them play.

The DL for the skins is the best in the league imo. So one can "assume" it will be tough sledding. But at this point it just sounds like blatant skins homerism/Bolts skepticism until any of us charger/skins fans have actually seen them play. Which we have not.

You are entitled to your expectations...but im personally tempering them until i see what we have. The best way to beat this skins D is to dink and dunk 15 play drives often. Herbert can move. Most of his splash plays came off script last year. So you can bet there will be plenty of boots to get that DL chasing him. I see lots of little screens coming. And you have to account for Allen who will draw 2 guys. With Herberts ability to buy time and let routes develop....guys like Guyton and Johnson could see deep balls often. TB has a deadly DL as well and our OL was trash against them. Didnt keep Herbert from throwing bombs off script.

Anyway you slice it he did amazing with a trash OL all year last year. And this OL on paper is so much better its not even close. You know what you are getting with the skins DL....you dont yet what you are getting with the Chargers OL. There is no film. So how are we so certain about them getting crushed all day? Be nice if we can move the ball on the ground. Set up PA and control the clock.

Look at it this way...Staley will really know what we have in OL when we face washington's defense. Wouldn't quick passes nullify that defense?

Staley has expressed a good way to tire out a front 7 is to make them play horizontal.
