He didn't roll out or have any difficult seeing through lanes on this play.

Stick has very little game experience, or experience playing with a starting-caliber offense. The OL was so bad in Sunday's game he was forced to run for his life almost every play. What I saw in Stick was a guy who will improve with more playing time and experience. If you are alluding to his lack of ideal height in your observation about seeing through lanes...he is listed at 6-1, taller than Brees, Wilson or Kyler Murray.

      Tue, August 24, 2021, 11:26 AM

In the second preseason game of the year, the Chargers came up short against the 49ers, 15-10
For the most part, the starters remained sidelined while the majority of the playing time went to those in the middle to the back end of the depth chart who are vouching for a role or a spot on the 53-man roster.
With that being said, here are the best and worst performers from Sunday’s game, according to Pro Football Focus’ player grades.
      Top 5 Offense

      OL Nate Gilliam — 73.7
      RB Joshua Kelley — 71.1
      OL Brenden Jaimes — 69.2
      RB Darius Bradwell — 67.1
      OL Ryan Hunter — 66.4
      Top 5 Defense

      EDGE Kyler Fackrell — 91.1
      CB Tevaughn Campbell — 75.9
      DT Forrest Merrill — 73.1
      CB John Brannon — 68.3
      CB Kemon Hall — 67.6
      Bottom 5 Offense

      WR Tyron Johnson — 48.7
      QB Chase Daniel — 48.2
      TE Stephen Anderson — 47.7
      TE Matt Sokol — 47.1
      OL Kyle Spalding — 28.7
      Top 5 Defense

      EDGE Uchenna Nwosu — 43.9
      DT Christian Covington — 41.6
      LB Kyzir White — 36.1
      LB Cole Christiansen — 32.9
      LB Drue Tranquill — 29.7

I'm not sure what offensive line PFF was watching, that certainly wasn't ours.

Congrats to CBs Brannon and Hall.

And again, its a tight race at RB.

So Pipkins played better than at least 5 other guys?

That was my thought reading this......HOWDAFUK???????

When he hit the bench after the safety, they had a camera on him. He looked defeated and at a total loss for what happened. We have to cut 27 guys next week? He is one of mine........

His run blocking has improved. And Johnson and Daniel both had really bad games. I would expect Pipkins to not be far above them.

                  Clearly @T_pippy22 was distracted...

                    I guess that’s a fair excuse.

He’s got one more shot to make this roster. My advice: sleep alone in a Holiday Inn Express the night before Seattle.

Unfortunately, the mistakes he makes are the same ones:
defensive ends have been going underneath him, & not around for the past 2 years.
He should try clothes lining someone.

I'd be happy if he gets beaten on an inside move next week.
The type of happiness sufficient to make the roster

True. It’s like he’s regressing, which is an awful sign considering his play from 2020.
