I have been saying let Staley coach the rest of the season, but now I would have no problem firing him. What's the worst that can happen? We finish 5-12 instead with Kellen Moore as the interim instead of 7-10 with Staley?

I don't want the interim guy to win a couple of meaningless games at the end of the year and trick Spanos into hiring him.

I trust Ficken to be a much better evaluator of talent and to install that talent into appropriate positions while also having good input into an overall gameplan, whether offensively or defensively. I don't think he can call plays, but in my opinion, he'd be a better decision-maker than Staley.

If it were me, I'd have Ogbonnia over SJD, Henley over Kendricks, more Tuli in the interior just to see what we have with them.

I agree but its probably the cheap and easiest hire.

I just listened to Staley's portion of the presser. He seems so defeated, wants to "reset the team", "make it simple, focus on little things". He's at rock bottom now, so I'm probably going to buy this team going 11-6 the rest of the year and going to the AFC Championship game.
