The Chiefs led the league in scoring last season averaging 29 pts per game. The Chargers offense scored 34 today. You are barking up the wrong tree. The offense did its part and then some to win the game. The tree you want to bark up is marked defense.

Oh the defense was flat out horrible. No question about it. All game. But when you’re Ina shoot out like that you can’t shoot blanks when you have the last shot. That was a very winnable game if the offense gains 40 yards in 1:43. Which is what a premiere offense should do

The offense scored 34 pts. The highest scoring team in the league last season averaged 29 pts per game. The offense played more than well enough to win. It was the defense that lost the game. It was a defense player who gift wrapped 3 pts for the Dolphins at the end of the half. Without those 3 pts the the Chargers would’ve won on the strength of a great offensive performance. The offense has every reason to be proud of how it played. It didn’t fail. The defense did.

To what degree was this terrible defensive output McDaniel outcoaching Staley ?
Mensa seemed to have some bread and butter plays he kept going to. He helped their OL with a perfect mix. Staley had no answers.

Yes I think he schooled him. There was no cover in the middle of the field and Staley never adjusted. Later JCJ and JaSir got beat on the sidelines. Never any safety help on those throws.

Tyreek Hill is an exceptional player. No question. But he’s impossible to defend if you let him run free and give him the middle of the field

I guess the Chiefs don’t have a premiere offense because Patrick Mahomes couldn’t get it done on Thurs nite. And the Bengals don’t have a premiere offense either because Joe Burrow couldn’t get done today. The two teams in the AFC Championship game last season, one which won the Super Bowl, don’t have premiere offenses by your standards.
