He will be missed. At time last season he was the only guy that could get open. He will be missed even more in the locker room and with the younger guys. I stated in another thread that it is somewhat ironic that his work with Inman may have contributed to him leaving the team. Perhaps TT believes Inman will step up and did not pursue Royal as aggressively as he might have without Inman's progression at the end of the year.
Tyler Lockett in the 2nd round? Hopefully he lasts
A lot of talk that he'll last till the third.....I like the kid a lot but what really gave him value was his return game and we have our returner....I'll bet he is there with our third round pick though
He was pretty clutch for us, and more often than not he seemed to be the guy Rivers targeted on 3rd downs.
(I could be making that up, but it seemed that way to me.)
I enjoyed cheering for him.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."
Id draft a stud in the 2nd and maybe even a slot WR in later in the draft. You dont have to use high draft picks on slot guys. Also Woody can at the very least motion into the slot. Be nice to finally see Green do some damage from the slot. He player there tons in college. More of a giant slot WR than a TE.

not in 2013 when Woodhead was healthy. On the bright side- the team kept claiming Green couldn't get on the field because Royal was playing so well. That excuse is gone now. The offense can morph into a 2 TE or something else now that Mathews is gone and we will probably be more productive for it. Just keep upgrading the OL and it will be fine.

I've been curious why they don't just move Green to wide receiver.
