Good luck AJ. I hope health didn't bring on the decision.

Norv was all the fault of Marty and Spanos.

The timeline put AJ in a hole

That attempts to explain the initial hire of Norval but AJ gets all the credit (or blame) for Norval's six - yes 6! - year tenure as AJ's head coach.

I think AJ played a part in it. He never forgave Marty for whatever transgression AJ felt Marty did, and it festered into a feud.

It doesn't play to the timeline.

People that don't want to look into the situation will always link AJ and Norv.

I would say that AJ had some home runs and some whiffs, just like any GM. The Eli trade was masterful. What really killed him here was injuries (Merriman, Buster Davis, English....).

AJ was the brains behind probably the best stretch of Charger seasons in history, so for that, I will try to remember him fondly.

I do think, with his early success, he got cocky and thought he was smarter than everyone else, and it caught up to him. Arrogance is not a good thing in evaluation.
