Same could almost be said of Free agent wide receivers. going from a $4-6 mil contract to a $12+ mil contract? They might be even more dispensable due to cost/performance ratio. No?
Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....

        2020 OPOY Derrick Henry.
How did Leonard look in the SB ?
And you guys are saying all this shit.

Leonard is an idiot dumped by the Jags nobody would trade for, guys like him and Kareem Hunt often available. No super bowls ever for Henry unless the Titans get better all around. Ravens shut him down in the playoff game, Chiefs did last year because the playoffs are a different animal altogether. IMO he's still overpaid and always a big injury risk being a RB.
Barry Sanders had one playoff win. The sum of the 5 O Lineman is 5 or more times important than the one RB on the field I think.
A very long list of super bowl winners with low payroll RB contracts.

            Can't say I'd completely agree.

Miami had a slew of low drafted and undrafted RBs who did pretty decent but they likely will draft one higher this year. You need talent no matter the position. One stud with a couple of decent ones in a RBBC is where it's at.

Kamara was a third round pick.

as was Kareem Hunt, incredible value for the Chiefs while it lasted.....and go figure they are better since they booted him

Chiefs desperately needed a big back in the SB,
and Andy Reid setting aside his stubborness about overusing the pass.

Oh, did I mention Dalvin Cook or Zeke Elliott ?

There are RBs to be snagged early,
and the right one can have huge beneficial impact on Herb...and EK.

I will counter Elliott is about to become a Gurley contract and is one of the main reasons the Cowboys won't make the playoffs with him on the roster (in the NFC East no less). Him and Cooper both. I think Gruden was smart to trade Cooper, not Mack.

                    Are they?

I think they would be even better with him but bone head decisions by players dictate moves. Jerry Jones wouldn't care but most teams do.

                    Hunt was a third rounder.

Still need a OL. Zeke wasn't so good with his patch work OL last season. I do agree we need a good RB.

yep, Zeke thrived off the league's best O Line his first few years....running backs can't pass protect to ignite the passing game either
I'm not at all happy with Ekeler's contract either. Javonte Williams in the 2nd would be such a better value.

                          Javonte creepin' into Rd1.
                          Greg Cosell loves him.
You jumping on him @ #45, eh ?
