That is what I think too.
John & Dean already took that route when they refused to act on Anthony Lynn during the 2020 season. This is their M.O. They take the least controversial and easiest steps for themselves. Because as long as they own the Chargers, they have a license to print money.
I already vowed to not to buy Charger merchandise or tickets in L.A.
This team has lost 21 of it's last 29 games. And it's decided to stand pat? And they expect me to stay? Are they kidding?

Anthony Lynn
Overall record is 33-32.
1 playoff season out of 4 seasons
Division Record: 9-14
Worst Loss Margin in Franchise History in a Game

We need Air Coryell, IMO. Or Sean Payton, whatever, a modern version of course.
Knows football. Integrity, not a disciplinarian. I think because of Charger culture we do need an offensively aggressive coach - might not be ideal for a Bears franchise, but we’re not da bears and don’t think we should try to be. Someone like Belichick comes magically available, that’s fine of course but short of something like that, an offense oriented guy**. NOT, for instance, Bieniemy - someone who’s masterminded an offense and developed a philosophy.
** - ps, not saying Belichick doesn’t know offense, he knows pretty much everything it seems.
