There are a couple things I don't like about this game. One, the KC defense has allowed the least points in the AFC this season. Two, unlike last years December matchup between these two teams, the Chiefs need to win this game to have any shot at the playoffs. I would also say the game being at Kansas City is a bad thing but we are 15-2 in our last 17 December road games.

The Stadium should be loud, if their vocal cords aren't frozen over. Would be great to have a successful run game. One VERY surprising stat I found is the Chiefs have allowed a tick more per rush (4.7 to 4.6) than our defense has on the ground. Our defense is 29th in yards per rush and KC is 30th. That is amazing. So attacking the Chiefs with a ground attack seems to have merit. Also seems smart.

Rivers is 8-0 in game 17s. The Chefs and their fans know that they are eliminated, no matter what the maths say. I do wish we had RM, though.

KC does give up a lot of YPCarry but they have only given up 3 rushing touchdowns all year....their home crowd does give them a big advantage but:

I think the loud crowd advantage works best earlier in the year or against crappy teams, playoff teams are generally more in sync and less rattled by crowd noise

The weather forecast is 36 degrees, sun and only 5-9 mph wind....bikini weather in KC

Daniels looked good last year but he knew that the Chiefs were locked into the five seed win or lose...tomorrow is a whole different animal...let's see how he does with the pressure on

Injuries are still killing us, no Mathews or Allen but unlike the first meeting we have Teo , Ingram and Jerry

Gotta lean on defense, hopefully some semblance of a running game, and giving Rivers time to hopefully beat their defense.
