Patricia seem like his players quit on him. But that just a guess. And you can't stay when they quit.

Jax HC is gone.
But, Marrone went to AFCCG with Blake Bortles in 2017
He had number 2 ranked defense allow only 17pts a game.
6 pro bowl players on that defense.
Only 1 of the players remains.
They fired the GM. I'm not surprised.
They need to find a franchise QB. And build a defense.

A decent and somewhat healthy o line. Decent health with your defensive stars. And you cannot make playoffs.
Or
When you get blown out often. No team should be that bad.
No team is so talentless at NFL level to be blown out many times a season.

The Great Lynn vs Rivers debate is mistakenly binary and mutually exclusive. Open your minds and examine the possibility that they both sucked in 2019.

We talked week after week in real time, right after games, when Rivers threw shitty passes that lost games. I don’t remember anymore, i counted i think 5 games he lost with his actual passing. Lynn sucks continuously in my view, so i think that is just a constant added layer to the suckfest.

yes, the binary paradigm must be shattered.

My opinion is that Rivers started seeing ghost because the offensive line was so bad without the play of Pouncey and Okung. Fix the offensive line to where it’s at least middle of the pack, then much of the goofy things done to overcompensate for this will go away or at least be minimized.

When Okung and Pouncey provided stability, the Chargers were a top tier team at 12-4, since then not so much.

8 years later. Did firing Norv result in any division championship yet. He is the last Charger HC to win the division. AJ the last GM to win the division.

I've always thought Charger fans gave Norv a bad rap. He won the division three times. And since he was fired, the owners haven't found a better coach. Or maybe they haven't even really been looking.

I 100% agree that is why, he had no trust in the OL and for very good reason. QBs still can’t do that though. I don’t think this year’s OL is any better, personally.

Norv has been a mediocre HC throughout his career. He had more than enough time here to prove otherwise

The AFC West was a weak division during the era of Norv. Chargers were still trending downward.
The Bronos/Chiefs have been league wide forces ever since.
