8-8 will get a playoff spot. I think Chargers, if they play Herbert, will make the playoffs. NFL scheduling and that extra spot gives them a great shot. No reason Chargers cant win 9 or 10 games. Except that head coach?

9 or 10 games? You mean if we also add in the 5 wins from last year? This is not a playoff team. It's poorly coached and injured (again). The icing will be when Taylor is stuck back in as our staring QB with his punctured lungs and bruised ribs.

and our defense comes up with zero TO's for 2nd game in a row...... if our defense comes up with zero TO's our offense cant afford more then one......

We could have won with one turnover....maybe 2.....but usually 3 or more TO's usually means you lose......

Our D definitely has to figure out how to produce turnovers!

More importantly our offensive has to stop committing turnovers!! Offensive turnovers lose games.

I am excited for Herbert's future, but a lot of us just pointed out how Rivers took all the heat from some here and it's pretty obvious he wasn't close to the only problem with this team.

Herbert played an outstanding game. The one mistake came needing to push the football down the field with under 20 seconds in the 1rst half.

Once again, for a rookie, in only his second start, without having a preseason game, with limited preseason practices, he did really really well.

But....

He lost.

And in the NFL its win or lose, nothing in between.

Funny, we were told over and over again, quite emphatically by a few here, how it was Rivers fault we lost games like this.

Meanwhile Rivers and the Colts smashed a shitty team today like the Chargers should’ve done.

No reason to think we will either. I think 9 is tops for us....with some luck. Injuries, rookie QB...who is playing pretty well but still gonna be some growing pains like there was today. OL looks bad when we have injuries. Depth not great though better than last year.

Your mean the 3 turnovers committed by 2 of our rookies. Without those we easily win.

You think the first turnover when the defender ran right by Bulaga is Herbert's fault? Rooks gonna make mistakes. Even the best ones. That's how they grow. Kelley and Herbert are going to help this team win a lot more games than they cause to lose. I am confident of that.

Every team has injuries. You just need 8-8 to get in. Look at the schedule. 8 wins is not hard to find. Herbert will get better every week and the team could improve to. If KC loses to Balt Monday the Chargers are one game back and almost beat KC. No reason for doom and gloom.
