Depends on your expectations. I didnt expect playoffs and we arent out of it yet after 3 games.

OMG! Ekler would have scored the winning TD!!!.... but he dropped it!!!

If KA and come back for ball he might have caught the TYD on previous play....

Chargers could have should have won this game but bungled it away by many mistakes, penalties, turnovers, bad ref calls....etc.....

even though he is 0-2, Herbert is a winner..... great 2 drivews at end of game when it really mattered..... under tremendous poressure all game because of our sucky OL.....

Amazing how Chargers somehow someway always lose when we play winless teams.........

He has lost his only 2 starts. He hasn’t won shit.
There is room for hope in some of the things he did well though.
2 turnovers were killer by the rook.
16 points against the Panthers is pathetic. We broke their streak of giving up 20+.

This was a typical Charger loss with all the self inflicted wounds.

Turnovers decide games. We have to get on the right side of this.

Funny, we were told over and over again, quite emphatically by a few here, how it was Rivers fault we lost games like this.

Rivers would have thrown an interception on that last drive, atleast the rookie gave us a couple of good shots.

Turnovers are the key to winning.
No turnovers and we easily win this game.
Decent second half.

If your D is incapable of getting turnovers, each turnover committed by the offense is magnified.
Two losses, two games were the D gets 0 turnovers. That can't happen if you are a good team.

Herbert is the real deal. He is clearly a franchise QB. Its exciting watching Herbert. Now get rid of your Loser Head Coach and the Chargers will be a true contender for years to come. Until then Chargers will continue to Charger.

Watching him scramble to make clutch plays was impressive. In only his second game ever to boot. This kid is going to be good.

and our defense comes up with zero TO's for 2nd game in a row...... if our defense comes up with zero TO's our offense cant afford more then one......

We could have won with one turnover....maybe 2.....but usually 3 or more TO's usually means you lose......

Turnovers always greatly impact games, but don't overlook all of the other things that contributed here: Penalties, dropped passes, bad play calling, lack of urgency on our last TD drive that burned way too much time, stupid challenge by Lynn, team not focused early. Add that to a few bad calls by the ref and injuries and we have what we are - a bad team that will likely battle the Broncos for last place in the AFC West.

8-8 will get a playoff spot. I think Chargers, if they play Herbert, will make the playoffs. NFL scheduling and that extra spot gives them a great shot. No reason Chargers cant win 9 or 10 games. Except that head coach?

Mistake riddled football has one culprit. Coaching. That seat is heating up on Lynn.

Your mean the 3 turnovers committed by 2 of our rookies. Without those we easily win.

No one mentions the 4 points the special teams gave up due to the silly penalty on the field goal attempt.

Losing by 4 points, that ended up being huge.


Its a good thing the special teams coach is tight with the head coach. He'll harp on the 1 interception Herbert threw.
