    4th and 1 in OT

Sorry everyone I have to find out what you all think. The talking heads today have been going back and forth on this. It's pretty split. Me? Honestly I was wanting to go for it during the game.

4th and 1 on our own 34 in OT

Was punting the ball back to KC the right choice?

It's on our own 34. Punt it no brainer

Oops! I picked the wrong one! I say go for it! I guess we didn't know how good KC's kicker was so this really could be a 50/50 decision. Now that we know how good their kicker is we definitely would go for it in a second game.

This is a jaded poll as everyone knows that KC scored the walk off figgy. Normally you would have your head on a platter for going for it on your own 34......in OT.....against the Super Bowl champs. We have a pretty good defense but they could not hold. Circumstances are what they are but if this were hypothetical it would be a no brainer to punt.

I would have gone for it. The way the momentum had shifted, the Chargers needed to score a TD or else I felt the Chiefs were going to win.

Our D blew leads last year, almost blew it against the Bengals, and were clearly gassed (despite a huge time of possession advantage for us) against the Chiefs. It is easy with hindsight to second guess a decision that didn't work, but I would have gone for it.

In the moment, it felt like the Chiefs D would stop us if we went for it, no matter what. Had that been the case, hindsight would then be we should have punted so KC would have a long field, giving our D opportunities for a turnover or stop. That almost worked, if not for an insane kicker. Also, ice the kicker way before he gets a free practice kick.

I take more issue with the run play on 2nd down inside the 5, than not going for it on 4th and 1 in OT.
Better to give your QB 2 chances to score with his arm or legs, than running up the gut twice in a row.

The good playaction fake dive rollout to the TE that has leaked out seems to be a very successful play. I dunno. I just know we blew a lot of opportunities to put this game away. Poor short yardage play calling is high on my list.

                i vote punt

KC defense had stopped us on short yardage all day. I wanted to see F250 there but i doubt he converts.

If KC needs 3x 50+yrd FG to beat us then it was meant to be

Chargers defense was gassed and Chiefs were on a roll..... scoring easily on 3 straight drives..... so Lynn should have went for it.....

6-6 QB that just layed out their LB, a run game that nearly put up 200 yards rushing on a thin defense, a worn down Chris Jones who had 2 tackles all game, our defense tired, with Mahommies, Hll, and a freaking cyborg kicker on sidelines?

                    Go for it Oh Yeah!!:koolaid:

Too much emphasis on the decision imo
and not enough on the execution
                      players have to step up

wts, personally, I go for it
especially with a running threat at qb
And with the rules favoring the offense so much more
a tired defender might lazily hold or interfere

i was fine either way. If they tried to run it there, they wouldn't have made it.
