I don't think that IR-designated to return thing is in play anymore. PUP is different in that he never practiced with the team, and so he was never made into IR. I'm not sure, but there still is a chance that Stevie Johnson could be brought back from the IR, but they don't have to designate the one guy.

Probably when our offensive line is mediocre enough to not need him. The past three years, being Wat-sucky a couple times per year was still better than the alternative. Hopefully we'll be good enough this year that Watt won't be an upgrade to one of our guards or centers.
