PFF LA Chargers @PFF_Chargers
#LAChargers are one of 7 teams with an ELITE quarterback. Top 5 #Chargers grades at the midpoint of the #NFL season:
1. Philip Rivers - 90.2
2. Austin Ekeler - 85.2
3. Desmond King II - 83.7
4. Derwin James - 82.8
5. Melvin Gordon III - 80.3
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
The Wasted Decade is done.

This might be a bit off topic....a touch....but I think it rings true in Bosa's situation: as long as the Spanos family owns the club, they'll never win.
Case in point: the LA Clippers. There were a few occasions over the past 30 years( prior to Balmer) where enthusiasm around the team was pretty high( the early 90's with Miles, Odom, Brand, Q, Corey, Keyon, etc. and the beginning of Lob City) but Bill Walton, ex Clipper and NBA HOF'er, said to my step father( who still works for the team) "They'll NEVER win here because of Sterling" Now we all know there are a myriad of reasons that statement is true but DTS just didn't have the SLIGHTEST clue on how to be a winner. And winning starts from the top down. Is there anyone among us who believes Spanos is a Championship owner? He's certainly never done or said anything to make me believe he is.
I guess it's the same reason Archie didn't want Eli playing here - he knew as long as Spanos was in charge, they didn't have a chance to win.( Eli can't hold Rivers' jockstrap and he's got 2 SB wins? Thank you Giant defense....and Dad!)
Make of it what you will but if Bosa gets offered good money to go to a team who he perceives to have a chance to win it all( and trust me, these guys all talk and know what's what and who's who), he'll depart Carson with out so much as a goodbye.

That's the most pessimistic/paranoid reading of that interview that I've seen. And just in case anyone missed it, he just got moved from the Reserve/Injured to the Active roster on the official site. I would say that's a pretty positive development, although I don't expect to see him in Seattle.

RANK
6
CHARGERS: 9.4 wins
Current record: 5-2. Projected playoff percentage: 56.8.
Their increased wins (and, consequently, their playoff chances) have corresponded with the increased effectiveness of their "small ball" defensive personnel (six defensive backs) in combatting speedy offenses. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
