The San Diego Chargers were awarded tight end Logan Stokes off waivers on Wednesday after he was released by the New England Patriots. To make room on the roster, the team waived tight end Eric Frohnapfel.
A 6-5, 255-pound rookie out of Louisiana State, Stokes made a name for himself as a blocking tight end with the Tigers. He appeared in 13 games in 2014 and had one reception, a three-yard touchdown in a 10-7 win over Ole Miss. Stokes began his collegiate career at Northeast Mississippi Community College before transferring to LSU in 2013. He initially joined the Patriots as an undrafted free agent. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
The Wasted Decade is done.
