Won't Adrian Phillips be an odd man out here? Wilson plays safety and slot cover.

Only 4 safties there, that's light going into tc. And the talent isn't that great either except for Weddle.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

This is an interesting mock that takes a concensus from 20 different mocks:
This week's mock pulled together 20 drafts from around the Internet to see if we can find a common ground. For some picks, it worked. For others, it was a complete disaster.

Here is the choice for the Chargers:

          17. San Diego Chargers: Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin

Could it really be running back or bust for the Chargers in the first round? If so, would it actually be Gordon? There were reports a few weeks ago that the Chargers like Gordon, but those rumors seemed to have quieted some lately. He’s still the popular choice, but only marginally.

          The picks:
          30 percent Melvin Gordon
          20 percent Todd Gurley
          15 percent Ereck Flowers
          10 percent La’el Collins
          10 percent T.J. Clemmings
          5 percent D.J. Humphries
          5 percent Eric Rowe
          5 percent Malcom Brown

I like Gurley better, and he fits TT's modus operendi of drafting value despite possible health issues.

The health issues are exactly what I'm afraid of (see Mathews, Ryan).

You can't predict health problems... Guys come into the league with injury concerns from college and are healthy as an ox in the NFL, or no problems in college and constantly injured in the NFL. I mean, you want to look at a guys history and overall health, but nobody can predict how future injuries; and past injuries are just a poor predictor.

Yeah but when it comes to the Chargers....you WILL get injured.

I like Sir Duke Johnson as a 2nd round pick and I'm up in the air for our 1st round pick...I just know I don't want it to be an Oregon QB

One thing that would be interesting about the Mariota pick... Once again We'd be getting a beloved quarterback. I remember the poople from NC becoming Charger fans and talking on and on about the sun rising and falling out of Rivers ass. The same thing is true here.. People up here in Oregon LOVE them some Mariota. There'd be a lot of Charger fans up here for me to talk to suddenly.
