All I know is that come draft day, guys pegged as 1st rounders generally go in the 1st round, guys pegged as top 50 generally go top 50, guys pegged as top 150 generally go in the top 150 and so on.

My only issue is that there is too much group thing going on where too many players either outperform or underperform their draft slot.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    Let’s win one for Mack.

When I think of shallow end, I think there are good prospects for a certain position but just in the top two rounds. I don’t think C is a position I’m drafting next year for a starter particularly. I think they go free agency for Oline this coming offseason. Maybe some depth players in the later rounds.

CB, IDL, WR and S are deep classes, so you can find some in the deeper end like Still and Hart this past season. I also think the TE class is good at the top with some possible diamonds in the rough later. TE and Edge might be the first 2 picks IMO. But whatever Hortiz and Harbaugh do, I trust.

That's one reason why we may end up keeping Pipkins next year.
They may look at FAncy to upgrade or add depth to the IOL.

TE and Ed are solid picks. A solid, complete TE from PSU should be available to help improve the tip of the spear.

Michigan’s Colston Loveland remains a first-round type of talent as a receiving tight end despite the Wolverines' quarterback struggles this season. Penn State’s Tyler Warren has also come on as a complete in-line player whom every NFL team will love

I dont get all the pundit hate...these folks make the process entertaining...just cuz they dont like "your guy" doesnt make them trash...

I will say they(Sikkema/Rogers)do way too many mocks...and some get just silly...and I do question their knowledge of NFL teams across the board, their actual needs and tendencies...but their prospect rankings and evals are pretty decent, and useful...again, I always watch for myself...but sometimes they point out players I might have ignored, or point out some things that make me go back and watch a high end prospect a little closer.

Im not watching dozens of college games each week, start to finish, to find prospects. These pundit podcasts and lists help sift out the notable prospects, as well as a few pet gems, to help me build my own watchlist...what's wrong with that?
It is entertaining. That's it. If you don't watch a lot of college football (I do), people like Mel Kiper, Jr. and Dane Brugler are very good for learning the prospects' names heading into the next draft. Brugler, Kiper, and the rest are not trash, and I don't hate them at all. I actually greatly admire the career Mel Kiper has made for himself, as well as being a huge reason why the NFL Draft is one of the biggest events of the year. But I think it's pretty clear that they are not qualified to rank prospects.

Anybody can start a website and say Cam Ward or Abdul Carter is #1 and Colston Loveland is #22 on his big board. In fact, there are countless amount of these websites. It would be much more interesting, and productive, if Brugler and others actually took the time to visit college campuses and interviewed these prospects, their coaches, real NFL scouts, and opposing players and coaches. I wouldn't be surprised if Brugler never left his house.

RB Peny Boone looks like a big bruising back that can be had late round and maybe UDFA. 6’1 245 lbs. Not sure if he’s injured this year at UCF. Last year he had 1,400 yards, 7.1 YPC and 15 TDs at Toledo the year before

I don't know who they are and as I've said before, I'm not a big podcast watcher but agree with much of what you said.
I don't watch dozens of games each week either. I'll catch a couple on Saturday.... Maybe one Friday but it depends who is playing.

I've seen 4 Boise games and one was against UNLV which Jeanty had his worst game. Seen a few Georgia games. I wouldn't draft Beck in round 1.

I have only seen limited tape of either, but that bit i've seen - I like Warren (barely) over Loveland.

I am intrigued by the Bowling Green kid - Fannin - he's lighter at ~230 / 6'4" than those two. But he's a dynamic weapon imo. Draft Buzz has him as their #1 TE prospect, over both Warren and Loveland, which surprised me a lot.

I will take any of the 3.

One later round TE that intrigues me, more raw but athleticism off the charts....Arroyo from Miami. Only TE in NCAA averaging 20 yards a catch

Conner Williams retires. That leaves Dalman, Myers, and Kelly as the free agent centers as possible upgrades?
Not seeing any mocked higher than 3rd round.
