Not a bad idea, AK...trade down AGAIN from #8 to #12, play hardball and DEMAND a mid to low 2nd rounder...

(Unless we get a ridiculous offer for multiple picks)

TDs of 50 yards or more

Tyreek Hill - 21 NOT INCLUDING kick or punt returns in 124 games
        jamar Chase - 9 in 45 games
        Justin Jefferson - 3 in 60 games

        chambers - 7 in 153 games
        V jackson - 4 in 155 games
        Floyd - 3 in 121 games
        Gates - 3 in 236 games
Allen - ZERO in 139 games
        Williams - 4 in 88 games
        H. Henry - ZERO in 88 games
Melvin Gordan rushing or Receiving - 3 in 112 games
        Ekeler - 3 in 103 games

Look at Chase and Jefferson compared to ALlen and WIlliams....What a complete joke. People around here act like Allen and WIlliams are Hall of Famers because they don't understand what REAL GAME CHANGERS look like.
First downs are kind of important, also...

Good point, Knob...we could parlay that 2nd rounder, #37 overall, drop down 10 slots to #47, and pick up a low 3rd rounder...a LOT of good talent in round 3...I think this is our best YEAR OF THE TRADE-DOWN in a LONG time...

Bowers, Nabers, Alt in that order for me. But what about Fashanu also. He sounds big, powerful and more athletic than Alt. Very quick on his feet.
Scouting rep on him is he’s not a superior rush blocker. If we’re gonna fix our rush game, Alt >> Fash. Fash is scouted as the better pure pass blocker but I think Alt is gonna hold up fine. Beats me - maybe smarter scouts will chime in.

There were years Gates impacted the Chargers more than any WR. That statement is an opinion, not a fact. I get some believe it - I don’t. Not based on the current Chargers roster.

I highly agree with this being the year for the trade-down. We're in a great spot for it.

I count 5 for MW plus a 49 yarder this year.

Guyton has 4 in 46 games. I guess he is a bigger weapon than Jefferson?
Tyrell Williams had 4 in 70 games.
We know what they are thank you.

Explosive plays aren't measured just by 50+ yard YDs.

NFL.com has a 40+ yard category and MW had 9 of those in 2021 alone....tied with Tyreek in the NFL. One was a 72 yard TD

Go look at the rest of the league and let us know how we rank.

Telesco is finally gone, let's see what the new GM can bring. He wasn't very good at getting us team speed and not every team has a track team like Miami. In fact none do.

I don't see how Laiatu Latu isn't in consideration for the fifth pick by most here. He's listed between 6-4 and 6-5 and 265 pounds. He's had 23.5 sacks, 34 tackles for loss, and five forced fumbles the last two seasons. He won the Ted Hendricks and Lombardi Awards this season. He also led the nation with 64 pressures this season. The major concern with him is the neck injury he had while at Washington, but he was cleared medically at UCLA and has been dominant ever since.

Why can't we consider him with the fifth pick? Because he doesn't play offense? Because mock draft experts who have never worked in the NFL don't have him going in the top five?

Here's one that has Brock Bowers going 12th, three spots behind Latu: https://www.si.com/nfl/draft/news/20...jayden-daniels

Here's another one, which has Brock Bowers going 14th and Latu 27th: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2...th-top-10-qbs/

These "experts" are all over the place.

                          A bodyguard for Justin Herbert.

Time to get serious about building an offensive line for once.
