Why would we take WR rd 1 when we change culture to hard grind trenches and be able to run at will.

Y2Y WR in 1st rd not happening.

If any QB or WR is there trade down for more picks this year.

What more with so many staff coming from college trade some future picks for picks in this draft as they have insight.

The reason would be that the WR is the best player available and we would have a need at that position, especially with Williams likely gone. A WR corp of Allen, Palmer, QJ and Davis isn't good enough or deep enough - and that is assuming QJ takes a big step forward this year. A TE would make more sense for the smash mouth approach, especially with Parham and Smartt as the only TE on the roster. Having said that, Pipkins is JAG so while it is not our biggest area of need, I could understand it - but would rather trade down if we are going to pick one.

No matter who is doing the picking the draft is a crap shoot. It gets more and more risky the further down you pick.

Why do people think Tackles have a lower bust rate?

Rumor has it TT (Raiders) has had conversations with teams in the 5 to 7 range about trading up. Didn't mention specifically which teams. Mentioned Pierce has a strong relationship with Daniels stemming from leading his recruitment at Arizona State.

I would rather see a double trade down for the Chargers. To me that is the holy grail. Whether it be 2 QBs that are being traded up for or a WR and QB I don't care. The Chargers need to load up on draft picks for this year.

Then we should probably trade Herbert and draft a RB and some OL with those picks. We shouldn't be half-assing anything.

The chart says that OTs have a lesser percentage of reaching All Pro status than G, C, S and LB. But OT has a higher All Pro rate than all other listed positions.

Interesting that they break out the OL into positions but not the DL. I'd be curios to see it by interior vs edge players. I also wonder how this changes the LB numbers.

Thats a pretty tough list to crack. Id just settle for non busts list and maybe even a pro bowl list than a all pro list. Only 44 players (AP 1 and AP 2) in the league make the All Pro list every year.

Double trades does not gain you extra picks. Not sure why you think it does. Someone trading for a QB does. Example: If you trade #5 for #13 it's worth 550points.
If you trade #5 for #8 it's worth 300 points. If you then trade #8 for #13 it's worth 250 points. Same thing. The difference being #5 for #13 would be for a QB so worth
more than 550 points. In the second scenario you would get more than 300 points for a QB. BUT on the second trade you a taking a risk that no QBs or WRs worth more
than 250 points would be there.

Therefore if you want more picks, just trade #5 for a boat load. Done.

Not true at all. When you are talking about a top 5 pick and potential QB you can throw the draft chart out the window. Teams have paid a boat load to move up not to just draft a QB but WRs as well. I'm not even sure teams use the draft chart anymore anyway.
